John
Batdorf John Batdorf has survived many careers in one lifetime. Starting with
the 70's as a recording artist with Batdorf and Rodney, and then Silver. John made records and toured this country and
Canada for most of the 70s. He headlined many shows, but as an opening act he got to play with a lot of great groups like
America, Seals and Crofts, Dan Fogelberg, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Fleetwood Mac, The Doobie Brothers, Bread, The Youngbloods,
Hall and Oats, Cheech and Chong, England Dan and John Ford Coley, Pure Prairie League, Harry Chapin, John Prine, Dave Mason,
Kris Kristofferson just to name a few! A great time was had by all. John Batdorf spent the 80's as a staff songwriter writing songs for America, England Dan, The Curry sisters
and Kim Carnes, and as studio singer singing on hundreds of jingles, movies, and TV shows. He sang on four main titles including,
"Doctor, Doctor", "Tom and Jerry Kids", "Garfield and Friends" and "Promised Land".
He sang background vocals on some really great recordings by Rod Stewart, Motley Crue, Dave Mason, Eric Anderson,The Jefferson
Starship, Berlin, Donna Summer, Dwight Yoakum, Boy Meets Girl, Mickey Thomas, Stan Ridgeway, James Lee Stanley, David Lee
Roth, The London Choir Boys to name a few.
John is releasing his third solo CD "One Last Wish" in which
he covers new ground with some of the topics he covers, while returning to the magic, upbeat sound that Batdorf &
Rodney fans have always loved. In addition to his other solo CD's "Home Again" and "Old Man Dreamin'
" John also collaborated with James Lee Stanley on the masterful "All Wood & Stones" CD, which were fresh,
new acoustic arrangements of Rolling Stones songs, and added to the most recent "All Wood & Doors",
with James Lee Stanley and Cliff Eberhardt, and contains fresh, new acoustic arrangements of songs by The Doors, and
features such guest artists as John Densmore, Robby Krieger, Peter Tork, Timothy B. Schmit, Laurence Juber, Scott Breadman,
Paul Barrere, Rick Ruskin, Chad Watson. The Koles Also on the line-up are The Koles - Arlene, Bill, and their daughter Skyeler. The December 2009 issue of Music Connection
Magazine named Arlene Kole in their HOT 100 List of the top live acts in the nation. Bill Kole is an award winning engineer
producer who was distributed by A&M Records in Canada. Skyeler Kole attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood.
She began singing studio sessions at age 11.

"I just had the privilege of previewing John Batdorf's newest
CD that's in the works...and John just keeps getting better ! This is a finely produced CD, with many of the tracks
containing the same soul as the early Batdorf & Rodney songs like "One Day"...while continuing to be fresh and
new. John explores some new topics, in his usual genuine, articulate, and well-crafted style.
A "must-have" CD !"

BackStage:Los Angeles
would like to Congratulate Amber Rubarth on her GREAT NEWS !

|
| Amber Rubarth's NEW CD - "A Common Case of Disappearing" |
A Message From Amber Rubarth: CARNEGIE HALL with JASON MRAZ.
Holy yes.
November 23. Thanksgiving's Eve. 11-23-11.
Forever engrained as one of the most magical days of my life. Jason Mraz invited
me to be his special guest at Carnegie Hall. Sold out. Tiers and tiers of beautiful people, dressed to the nines.
A beautiful reverence in the air.
I
have a lot of dreams in my life. This was a big one come true. Singing with Jason Mraz in a cardboard box would be spectacular, singing with him at Carnegie
Hall was top of the tree. Or more like floating in outer space. Best Thanksgiving gift ever. I am soaked
in gratitude.
My favorite moment was singing
our new movie love song "Rated Ours" together unplugged at the old timey microphone. I am so grateful,
still glowing.
Here's a VIDEO (thank
you!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRLs-KawDZE

Hey
Hey, It’s...The Monkees reformation
The original
TV boyband are back together for their first UK tour in 12 years. British-born Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork return
to perform in front of their British fans.
The Monkees,
responsible for some of the biggest hits of the 60s, will be touring the length of the country including a memorable show
at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London.
The original
TV boy band are the example to all those who have since found musical fame via television. The Monkees wrote the script for
modern day pop music.
Selling
50 million records with hits such as Daydream Believer, Last Train to Clarksville, I’m a Believer and (I’m Not
Your) Steppin’ Stone, The Monkees provided the soundtrack to teenage lives on both sides of the Atlantic from the ‘60s
onwards. With the TV series being repeated throughout the 1980s, a whole new legion of fans were exposed to their crazy antics.
Controversially
created for TV, they eventually broke their shackles and became a respected band in their own right, embedded in the revolutionary
1960s pop fraternity. The Beatles were one of The Monkees’ biggest supporters with John Lennon naming them “the
Marx Brothers of Rock”. In fact in 1967, The Monkees outsold both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined.
Following
the TV show, the band went on to tour the world, release hit albums and singles, make a cult psychedelic, surreal film (1968’s
Head) and inspire generations of bands to follow their winning formula.
Without
The Monkees, there would be no Backstreet Boys, no Take That, no Boyzone, no Busted and no JLS. Even the Sex Pistols made
(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone part of their repertoire.
To
clear up unfinished Monkee Business, don’t miss your chance to see the seminal TV show band ‘sing and play’
as The Monkees celebrate over four decades at the top, on tour in the UK this May.
The Monkees UK Tour dates:
May 12th Liverpool Echo Arena
May 24th Manchester Apollo
May 15th Newcastle City Hall
May 16th Glasgow Clyde Auditorium
May 19th London Royal Albert Hall
May 20th Sheffield City Hall
May 21st Birmingham NIA Academy
May 23rd Plymouth Pavillions
May 24th Cardiff CIAgoodma

Award winning songwriter, singer and musician Brian Ray, best known
as the ultimate sideman guitarist and bassist for Paul McCartney, takes a step out front in the spotlight and releases his
second solo album "This Way Up".
Tracks on the album include the single "I Found You", written by Brian Ray and Oliver
Leiber (son of Jerry Leiber of Leiber & Stoller). The song features a guitar marching band with approximately 40 guitars
"having a guitar tantrum", along with a big marching drum beat. Notably the song also features some of Ray’s rock star
pals: Scott Shriner (of Weezer), drums and bass by Pete Thomas and Davey Faragher (of Elvis Costello’s band) and Adam
MacDougal (of The Black Crows) on wild Wurlitzer piano.
The second single "Happy Ending" is a modern rock, post sexual revolution, where
the hell are we now? kind of song. "It’s about a guy trolling the internet, hooking up, finding ‘her’, then
discovering that HE wants more than just a casual fling, while SHE smiles and slips out the door."
"This Way Up" was recorded and mixed by Joe Zook (Weezer, OneRepublic, Pink, Leona
Lewis) and produced by Brian Ray. |

Red House recording artist Cliff Eberhardt knew by age seven that he was going to be a singer
and songwriter. As a child Cliff taught himself to play guitar, piano, base and drums. In his teens Eberhardt was fortunate
enough to live close to the Main Point (one of the best folk clubs on the East Coast), he cut his teeth listening to the likes
of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, and Mississippi John Hurt - receiving
an early and impressive tutorial in acoustic music. At the same time, he was also listening to great pop songwriters like
Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and Rodgers and Hart, which explain his penchant for great melodies and clever lyrical twists. www.cliffeberhardt.net
A
driving force of the Greenwich Village New Folk movement and well known among his peers, Cliff’s songs have been covered
by the likes of Richie Havens, Buffy St. Marie, Erasure, Lucy Kaplansky and the folk superstar band "Cry, Cry, Cry" (Dar Williams,
Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky). He has raving good quotes from
People
Magazine, Seattle Post Intelligencer, The Boston Phoenix, The New York Post,
Berkshire
Eagle, and many more. He is a well respected musical force.
James
Lee Stanley will be joining Cliff on a few songs, as they preview their new CD "All Wood and Doors" - a follow-up to "All
Wood and Stones" and is an acoustic rendition of Doors songs, with two of the original Doors playing on the CD.
James
has a new solo CD
"BackStage

McEUEN at The Coffee Gallery Backstage

RESERVATIONS
REQUIRED - 1-626-794-2424
John, a
founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, McEuen is often called America's instrumental poet... his stellar playing brings
us musical photographs from his travels around the world..." (Country Weekly) as he brings to the Coffee
Gallery his guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle to create "An absolute aural feast" (Billboard Magazine) with his "...thouroghly
wacky and enjoyable performance" (Washington Post). This time he will be all alone showing what the solo John McEuen is all
about. His NGDB started in Pasadena, with their first hit on KRLA in 1967 kicking off a music career
that has taken John to over 4,000 different venues. Although a SoCal native, it has been said this innovator in Country Rock
and Folk (he instigated the famous Will the Circle Be Unbroken album) has also created "...some of the most deft
and impeccably tasteful music to come out of Nashville" (Chicago Tribune). www.johnmceuen.com will tell all, and if you go to this show, you will be telling many the next
day "you should've been there!" Plus...'with his buddy in music, Matt Cartsonis..
mandolin/guitar/ and incredible vocals.. check out Matts extensive career at mattcartsonis.com Matt and John both need this night out to play their favorite
music.
Joining John and Matt, also, is CRAIG
EASTMAN, a true genius on the fiddle and its cousins. He's an innovator and melodist on one of the great instruments
says Steve Martin. Craig worked with Steve Martin on Steve's latest musical triumphs
and
TV shows. Played with Ray Charles, Sheryl Crow, Rickie Lee Jones, John Jorgenson, Bill Bob Thornton and Dennie Quaid and that
is only a partial list. The guy is a champion and you can see him tomorrow night with 2 other champions.
John
earned a Grammy in 2010 as Producer on Steve Martin's most recent CD "The Crow."

"I first
heard Johnny Crawford's orchestra at a Gala event at The Getty...and subsequently attended their regular performances
at The Atlas Supper Club awhile back. I continue to try to attend their events whenever possible, as Johnny IS a showman,
and the orchestra is amazing. The last time I saw them at Typhoon, listening to them, with the view of the planes taking
off and landing, I felt like I'd found myself in the middle of "Casablanca." A VERY enjoyable evening !" -Sandy Jacobson-

Jonathon McEuen
|
About Jonathon McEuen: The
son of well-known rock star banjo picker, John McEuen, Jonathan McEuen was born to sing and play. Good genes and a star-studded
extended musical family definitely work to his advantage – Crowds respond enthusiastically to Jonathan’s extraordinary
voice and guitar playing whenever he performs. Jonathan has always known life on the road – first by playing guitar
and singing with his family, as well as singing background and playing guitar for other world class artists including Dwight
Yoakam, Dave Mason, and Robben Ford, to name a few. Co-fronting his own band with cousin Jamie Hanna (son of Jeff Hanna from
the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band), he was signed to the major record label MCA Nashville, (a division of Universal
Music Group). That experience confirmed he was ready to move forward and create music outside the confines of his influences
or a specific genre. Jonathan has performed on Jay Leno, at the Grand Ol’ Opry, and at Red Rocks in Colorado. Though
Jonathan’s tremendous skill on guitar is clear, playing music without limitations is his commitment. He enjoys crossing
genre lines and breaking molds by fusing musical traditions in his own, inspired way. Armed with a quick wit and personal
charm, Jonathan moves fluidly in and out of folk, rock and bluegrass/country influences, making delightfully eclectic music
for everyone along for the ride. |

Scott Sechman
Scott Sechman
A Brief History...
Scott Sechman has been a mainstay
on the Orange County music scene for over 25 years, moving to California in 1979. Scott began his musical career in
Virginia in 1968, moving to Maryland in 1970 and landing in Tucson, Arizona in ’73. In Tucson, he put together a series
of bands that performed original material culminating with Loose Boots, whose 1978 album featured songs written by Scott.
After relocating in Southern
Cal, Scott continued to play in bands and became known for his expressive vocal style and solid guitar playing, eventually
securing a temporary position as lead guitarist with ‘60s / ‘70s hit-makers The Grass Roots in 1997. Over the
years Scott’s bands have opened for or backed up a plethora of nationally and internationally known artists including
Tom Rush, Al Wilson, Bill Medley, The Coasters, The Marvelettes and others too numerous to mention.
Since 2000, Scott has shifted
to an acoustic format that has allowed listeners to focus on his vocals (which have drawn comparisons to the likes of Joe
Cocker, Bob Segar, Eric Clapton and Howlin’ Wolf).
When he’s not doing work
as a solo artist, he teams up with some of The O.C.’s finest players in duo, trio and band formats including Guitar
ace Danny Ott (Chris Gaffney’s Cold Hard Facts), Jamie Browning (Righteous Brothers, Orleans, Bill Medley), Don Preston
(Leon Russell, Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs and Englishmen) and keyboard whiz Dave James (Boy Howdy).
Scott
can currently be found at various venues in the O.C./L.A. area.

Stephanie Bettman & Luke Halpin
Saturday, May 21st - 7:30pm Bettman& Halpin / Evan Marshall co-bill Living Traditions Concert Series Anaheim
Downtown Community Center 250 E Center St, Anaheim CA 714-765-4500 $11 members / $14 non-members
This
Sunday,May 22nd -
Kids show @ 1:15pm
Adult show @ 3pm
Heritage Museum Music Festival
Stephanie Bettman has been described as a triple
threat. An accomplished writer, her songs are infused with
wit and wisdom. As a vocalist, she has drawn comparisons to such legendary singers
as Emmylou Harris, Joan Baez and Alison Krauss. Meanwhile, her fiddling, which
combines elements of bluegrass and jazz, is filled with influences from such
masters as Stephane Grappelli, Byron Berline and Johnny Gimble.
Luke Halpin is a renowned multi-instrumentalist
who draws inspiration from the likes of Sam Bush, Mark O’Connor and Tony Rice. A dynamic vocalist himself,
Halpin has worked the stages with the likes of Merle Haggard, Lone Star and The Steve Miller Band.
As a duo, Stephanie Bettman & Luke Halpin create a fully acoustic, delightfully eclectic sound that
is far greater than the sum of it's parts. Together they weave a spell
that takes the audience from up tempo down home fiddlin', to soulful sorrowful
ballads, to super hooky folk/pop such as "I Just Wanna Love You": a track off
their most recent release (which has reached the #5 spot on Folk DJ Charts with
a #3 Song). You will be singing along despite yourself. Their hooks and lyrics
will stick with you long after the concert is over and leave you looking forward
to the next time.
Touring together since Bettman released her acclaimed Get
Close To Me (which hit the #8 spot on the Folk DJ Charts), the duo has been recognized
invarious Regional and National competitions, including Grand Prize Winners in
the 2008 So Cal Live Acoustic Music Competition and Winners of the 2007Topanga Banjo / Fiddle Contest, as well as being named in Music Connection’s Top 25 New Music Critiques of 2008.

The Wimberley Bluegrass Band is a talented
group of siblings, ranging in age from 12-17, whose passion is old-fashioned bluegrass music. Danielle, James, Mark,
and Michael were not content to just listen to the music, but taught themselves to play the acoustic instruments that make

& Scruggs. They have played at various festivals throughout California, and moste recently performed at The Silver
